Note that some of these are only available to Business Level members.
All members can attend a monthly training webinar. Topics and speakers vary but are generally on a legal issue which is relevant to landlords. Speakers are usually a specialist housing barrister or solicitor. The webinars are recorded and are then available to view to all Business Level members.

Between 2013 and 2022 we ran an annual Landlord Law Conference. All the talks were recorded (with the exception of 2016 where only a few recordings are available).
The Conference talks have now been added to Landlord Law and can be viewed by Business Level Members along with the speakers’ PowerPoint presentations and notes.

Note that we offer a monthly CPD by multiple-choice questionnaire. If you get 6 or more of the 10 questions correct you will earn 1 hour / one point CPD and also 10 Landlord Law points.

None of these are available to members although members will normally get a discount when buying.
This is the recording of our Legal Update workshop on 25 March 2024 with Justin Bates KC, along with his detailed notes, and various bonus items.
Cost is £150 (£125 + VAT) with discounts for Landlord Law members.
This is the recording of Tessa Shepperson’s workshop on 3 March 2022 along with the detailed notes, the presentation and various bonus items. Not suitable for landlords in Wales.

This course consists of the recordings of a live event which took place in November 2020 where rent to rent was considered in detail, the pitfalls carefully explained and guidance given.
This event was in association with JMW Solicitors.
There is also a special tenancy agreement which can be purchased from the Landlord Law Shop.
Cost is from £120 for the training only or £420 with the agreement.
This is a very detailed online course looking at tenancy agreements.
It is in seven parts which cover background law, different types of tenancy agreement, an in-depth look at most of the individual clauses used in tenancy agreements, and guidance on how to create, amend and revise your tenancy agreement.
The cost is £180 for the Standard version and £216 for the +Plus version.

Landlord Law Kits
These are step-by-step guides.
- The Audit and Dealing with Changing Tenants kits are available to all Landlord Law members
- The Property Inspection Kit is available to Business Level members only
- The Dealing with Damp Kit is available to Business Level members only and is not currently available to buy.
The others are only available to purchase.
This kit will help you carry out an ‘audit’ of your properties and property business, ensuring that you are compliant with the law.
This kit gives guidance on what to do if one of joint tenants wants to leave before the others. The kit has now been updated to deal with the changed laws in Wales. This kit concentrates on HMO type situations but there is a section on changing contract holders in family situations in Wales.
Cost is £60 with a 10% discount for Landlord Law members
This is probably our most popular kit. It gives detailed guidance on how to prepare for and deal with property inspections.
Cost is from £40, although the kit is available free of charge to Landlord Law Business Level Members.
This Kit, based on two training webinars with EHO Paul FitzGerald, is currently only available to Business Level Landlord Law members.
This Kit, based on training with expert Sarah Bradley, is currently only available to Business Level Landlord Law members.
It details the legal obligations that landlords need to comply with when dealing with and transporting waste.
This kit is to help landlords who have failed to protect the tenant’s deposit and now need to evict.
Cost is £70 with a 10% discount for Landlord Law members
Guidance on how to get access when your tenants refuse. Includes guidance on obtaining a county court injunction.
This is a large and detailed kit. The cost is £240 although you can also save by buying it as a ‘bundle deal’ with the Property Inspection Kit.
