Legal help, services and support for private residential landlords

As discussed elsewhere, it is most unwise for landlords to use unamended versions of these contracts. The unamended forms do not properly protect landlords. Indeed if you take a deposit using an unamended form, this will put you in breach of the regulations which could have serious consequences for you.
As most landlords issue fixed-term agreements, we developed a Landlord Law fixed-term contract, which properly protects landlords’ interests, which went live in December.
We have now issued a Landlord Law periodic contract, which members will find on the page here.
The periodic contract is considerably longer than the fixed term as it includes clauses relating to the no-fault eviction process and this is not available during a fixed term.
However, the actual document is probably similar to our fixed-term contract as that had to have the periodic terms at the end, so landlords did not fall foul of the rules which we discussed here.
I will now be working on the conversion document and will post here again when I have something for you.
